So glad you’re back, Hoang! I missed your voice, insights and stories, but I can understand deciding to take a break. So many of us struggle with the issues you describe. I often think of “going dark” for a while. It’s a constant temptation because writing is hard and the impulse to compare yourself to others is irresistible and sometimes corrosive. It takes a certain kind of courage to keep going. Then you need to learn not to second-guess yourself after the fact.
