I also recommended reading Curtis Chin’s memoir ‘Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant’ where he talks about growing up in a dingy neighborhood which was where his family’s restaurant was located in Detroit. Anyway, it’s always the hidden away joints that does not get enough media love is where you get really good food.
